What Is The CITB SMSTS Online Course Like?
When you attend the CITB SMSTS online course, you will experience the course just like you would in person. The course is presented live on Zoom by highly experienced tutors. You’ll get the chance to talk to them and ask any relevant questions during the training. You will be joined by others on the course and will have the chance to partake in group work and class discussions as if you were in a physical classroom.
What To Expect From The SMSTS Online Training Course
The course lasts for five days and covers safety legislation, hazard awareness, case studies, supervisor and manager responsibilities, and everything else you need to know for site safety management. You’ll learn why regular risk assessments are so important and how you can effectively identify, monitor, and control the hazards that are common in the construction industry.
The course includes a blend of case studies and classroom exercises. These will be assessed by your course leader. You’ll also sit an exam at the end of the course to show your competency and understanding. You will receive your certificate within two to three weeks via email, and it will stay valid for five years once you qualify. You will need to take the SMSTS Refresher 2-day course before your certificate expires.
What Happens Once I Have Booked?
Once your booking is complete, we will send you Joining Instructions. You will also need to complete an Initial Assessment to show you have a sufficient level and understanding of English. The evening before the course starts, you will receive an email with a Zoom link.
